MoistureShield® Meridian™ capped composite decking was selected a winner of Architectural Products magazine's 2022 Product Innovation Awards (PIA)

MoistureShield®, a signature brand at Oldcastle APG®, was selected a winner of Architectural Products magazine’s 2022 Product Innovation Awards (PIA) for its Meridian™ capped composite decking, highlighted by natural looks and durable performance.

Judged by a panel of 17 distinguished architects and designers, Architectural Products’ 2022 PIA Awards highlight the best building innovations available. PIA judges look for quality, performance and functionality beyond the standards of the design and construction industry.

An attainable upgrade from traditional wood, Meridian is a capped wood-plastic composite decking made mostly from recycled materials and complete with MoistureShield’s latest advancements. Meridian’s TruTexture™ Surface features reduced pattern repetition for an authentic, natural wood look while its solid core manufacturing process protects against moisture absorption, warping, rotting, and damage from insects. It is well-suited for installation in the ground, on the ground or underwater.

Catalina, Citadel and Shoreside include MoistureShield’s proprietary CoolDeck® technology designed to minimize heat absorption by up to 35% compared to traditional capped composite boards in a similar color.
